Stereoboy is the alias of portuguese musician Luís Salgado, now joined by Sofia Arriscado on a path in which electronic music merges with guitar fuzz to form an interesting kind of pop. It reminds us of the times when “teenager” used to mean wearing over- used jeans, trite t-shirts, dirty sneakers and unkempt hair, recorded tapes leading to re-recorded tapes and garage bands coming from real garages. Stereoboy’s debut record, OPO, is out now via PAD.
